Abstrakty

Dokonano ogólnej charakterystyki gospodarczej krajów Azji Południowej i Wschodniej (pominięto: Bhutan, Kampuczę, Laos, Wietnam, KRLD, Hongkong, Vanuatu, Zachodnią Samoę i Wyspy Tonga). Zestawiono dane charakteryzujące wielkość, tempo, strukturę zadłużenia oraz wielkości dotyczące obsługi tego zadłużenia. Po przeanalizowaniu mierników obciążających gospodarki omawianych krajów przedstawiono we wnioskach grupę o dużym i średnim poziomie zadłużenia oraz grupę, gdzie zadłużenie nie stanowi większego obciążenia dla rozwoju gospodarczego.

The article deals with foreign indebtedness of 16 countries of South and East-Asia. The authors presented the volume and structure of foreign debts, terms at which new credits are granted, volume and structure of debts' servicing and net transfer of financial resources of the countries of the mentioned region. As the over-all volume of indebtedness does not demonstrate how burdensome it is for the economy of a given country, a particular attention was paid to the indicators describing indebtedness and its servicing. In the paper the World Bank data, annually published in 'World Debt Tables", were made use of.(original abstract)
