Abstrakty

Celem artykułu jest diagnoza popytu na prywatne ubezpieczenia zdrowotne w Polsce, a w szczególności identyfikacja zbioru zmiennych objaśniających wielkość tego popytu. Cel ten zrealizowano w dwóch etapach obejmujących: a) analizę rozkładów wybranych zmiennych charakteryzujących klientów zainteresowanych i niezainteresowanych tego typu ubezpieczeniami; b) estymację funkcji popytu indywidualnego na ubezpieczenia zdrowotne. The aim of the article is the analysis of the demand on private health insurances in Poland and especialy the identification of the explanatory variables for this demand. The research of the potential demand on the market of health insurances was based on the survey Propensity to insurances and preferences of customers on the insurance market. The investigation was conducted on the representative sample of 500 respondents (heads of households) in 2006. It turned out that the factor determining the purchase of the individual policy is the price. In the second part of the research it was undertaken the attempt of the estimation of linear and power models for subgroups separated for different nonmeasurable determinants. It appeared that only among subgroups separated for the source of the income the part of models had been characterized with the high coefficient of determination. The size of declared private insurance premium was positively correlated with a level of the monthly disposable income and with the number of policies possessed by the household. (original abstract)
