Scientific Justifiability of the Normative Economics

Abstrakty

EN

Contemporary philosophy of knowledge (epistemology) compels the rethinking of whether the well-known division into positive and normative economics is justifiable. Is this division still valid, and if so why? The importance of this issue is linked to the following question: how should we pursue economics? From this perspective, let us examine what light contemporary philosophy of knowledge sheds on methods of formulating economic theories, their certainty and applicability.
