Application of a Markov Process in the Multiple Life Insurance with Dependent Life Lengths
Języki publikacji
Abstrakty
Consider the multiple life insurance. Let Tk denote the remaining lifetimes of a kth person in the group. In the classical theory of multiple life insurance it is assumed that the random variables Tk are independent. This assumption is unrealistic. For example, considering the lifetimes of paired lives such as wife and husband one should take into consideration the dependence of the lifetimes of this married couple. In this article, the future development of the marital status for husband and wife will be represent as a Markov process. On the basis of the data the parameters of this model will be estimated. The influence on the amount of premium relating to the widow's pension will also be studied. (original abstract)
