W artykule tym przedmiotem analizy jest związek pomiędzy stopą rentowności (stanowiącą stosunek zysku bilansowego do kosztu własnego sprzedaży) a wybranymi zjawiskami i procesami zachodzącymi w przemyśle w latach 1982-1986. (fragment tekstu)

The paper deals with the functioning of certain elements of economic calculus with respect to state-owned enterprises in the years 1982-1986. Baaing on empirical data referring to more than one thousand enterprises, the relationships between the rate of profitability and productivity of labour, productivity of fixed assets, cost structure, exports and fixed assets amortization rate, have been studied. The correlation calculus used in. the studies makes it possible to define the character and strength of the relationship between the rate of profitability and the above mentioned phenomena, which can be also a base for the evaluation of the rate of profitability as a measure of the effectiveness of business activities.(original abstract)
