Each year organizations spend considerable efforts in training their employees to deal with the global workplace. Last decade has produced a plethora of global strategic approaches and training on the role of culture but very little about what new managers must know and how they should apply training to help their organizations perform effectively in the global marketplace. Unlike a global strategy that provides an approach to positioning organizations to reach particular markets or to create global financial postures to enhance corporate value, global management is concerned with development of a cadre of professionals who can staff global organizations to create success through new ways of conducting business. Each new manager must develop a global perspective of his/her role to execute organizational objectives and lead his/her staff in implementing the unfolding changes. This paper, through participative action research rooted in the author's supervisory and teaching experiences, based on current global literature and a local perspective, provides a prescriptive mental model for managers requiring reformulating business curriculum.
