Abstrakty
Małe miasta tradycyjnie postrzegano jako integralny element prawidłowo funkcjonującego sektora rolniczego, a w szerszym zakresie - gospodarki wiejskiej. Stanowiły one ważne źródło zasobów traktowanych jako środki produkcji (inputs) dla rolnictwa, jako pierwsze miejsce przeznaczenia (skupu i przetwórstwa) wytworzonych płodów rolnych (outputs) oraz jako miejsce nabywania dóbr konsumpcyjnych i usług przez gospodarstwa domowe rolników i innych mieszkańców wsi.(fragment tekstu)
The role of small towns in the development of rural areas is under constant changes, from which the deepest and strongest ones are observed nowadays. Many small towns successfully adapt to the surroundings changes, take on new challenges and start having new roles, whereas others go through the crisis and are not able to take advantage of development predispositions that have not existed earlier. The key research objective was to identify the role of small towns in the network of economic connections with rural areas. The attention was paid to relations considered in terms of sales and purchases of goods and services, and also cooperation between rural non-agricultural enterprises and their consumer, suppliers and cooperation partners located in small towns of the Green Lungs of Poland region.
