E-government in the Russian Federation

Abstrakty

EN

The establishment and operation of e-government is a complex process that involves all levels of state government. The rendering of public services requires major changes in the state functioning and improving of its information system and infrastructure. In various countries the preference is given to a specific set of information and services provided electronically, which are dependent on social, economic and other characteristics of the country. At hte same time it is impossible to allocate some of the dominant approach because world leaders in the development of e-government include representatives of the Continental-European, and Asian and Anglo-American models. Within the recent years the e-government in the Russian Federation has been rapidly developing despite the initially huge gap between the leading "information technology" countries. Therefore the emphasis is made on the enhancement of the e-government infrstructure in Russia, as well as on the quality and quantity of available e-government services. (fragment tekstu)
