The paper analyzed Foreign Direct Investment flows to selected East and South - East Asian Countries against the background of global trends in the years 2005-2010. The relation between the rate of economic development and the value of Foreign Direct Investment inflow was studied. In the final part of the research the growing importance of East and South - East Asia, especially China, as a source of Foreign Direct Investment was emphasized. (original abstract)
