Abstrakty

W niniejszym opracowaniu omówiono wyniki przeprowadzonego badania dotyczącego oceny użyteczności w wyszukiwaniu informacji ekonomicznej bazując na wizualizacji sieci semantycznej. Studia te są pierwszą formalną oceną z udziałem użytkowników bazując na aplikacji zawierającej ontologię dla modelu Du Pont. Przedstawiono również procedurę prowadzonego badania, gdzie ocena użyteczności zaproponowanego rozwiązania jest jednym z jej etapów. (fragment tekstu)

Usefulness of economic ratios in decision making depends on understanding by decision makers various relations between those indicators. However, existing information systems allows analyzing data mainly in terms of structural dependences, but there is no possibility of analysis in terms of semantic dependences. This problem may be solved by topic map standard. Semantic net, created from topics (economic ratios) and relations existing between them, enables to visually explore data in terms of semantic connections. Aim of this article is to present results from conducted research on assessment of usability of visualization of semantic network in searching information basing on applications for Du Pont model. In the first part we discussed visualization of semantic network in topic maps. Then we presented procedure of carried out research. Finally we elaborated results from conducted study.
