Celem niniejszego artykułu jest próba odpowiedzi na pytanie, jak zmienił się polski rynek zbóż na skutek integracji z Unią Europejską. (fragment tekstu)

The article discusses issues related to the adjustment of supply, demand and prices for cereals as a result of Polish accession to the European Union. Changes were assessed on the producers, such as production volume, crop acreage, yields, imports, exports. The rest of the publication shows the development of the situation on the demand side, as expressed by directly related to the size of the national consumption of cereals in the period considered. Important addition to the above analysis is the behavior of prices in the period considered. Following this study, it was found that the most important adjustments on the cereals market include: transforming the structure of the harvest, increase production and yields, a decrease of sown area, improving the trade balance, a significant increase in industrial consumption, consumption has fallen in the period immediately after the integration, the rise and swings in prices.
