Abstrakty

Założonym przez autora celem artykułu jest analiza powiązań handlowych między Japonią i Koreą Południową w okresie pierwszej dekady XXI wieku. Przedstawione zostały zmiany, które miały miejsce w eksporcie i imporcie towarowym oraz w jego strukturze rzeczowej. Wśród najważniejszych czynników wypływających na obroty handlowe autor wyróżnił: stan gospodarki światowej, koniunkturę gospodarczą na rynkach wewnętrznych Japonii i Korei, zmiany kursów walutowych, politykę handlową wobec siebie, a także relacje polityczne między krajami. Autor stwierdza, iż pomimo stosunkowo wysokiej dynamiki wzrostu obrotów handlowych, intensywność handlu między Japonią i Koreą Południową spadła. Jednocześnie deficyt Korei w bilansie handlowym z Japonią negatywnie oddziałuje na politykę handlową wobec siebie, nie pozwalając na finalizację negocjacji porozumienia o wolnym handlu. Brak takiego porozumienia to jedna z ważniejszych przeszkód w rozwoju handlu między stronami. Do realizacji celu autor posłużył się metodą analityczno-opisową. (abstrakt oryginalny)

The purpose of the article intended by the author is to analyze the trade links between Japan and the Republic of Korea during the first decade of the twenty-first century. The changes that have taken place in merchandise exports and imports and in their structure are presented. The author has distinguished the most important factors influencing the trade flows: a state of the global economy, business conditions in the domestic markets of Japan and Korea, changes in the exchange rates, trade policies towards each other, as well as political relations between both countries. The author concludes that despite the relatively rapid growth of the trade turnover, the intensity of trade between Japan and South Korea has declined. At the same time, Korea's deficit in the trade balance with Japan has a negative impact on the trade policy towards each other. This is one of the reasons why a free trade agreement between Korea and Japan has not been concluded yet. This situation is one of the major obstacles to the development of trade between the parties. To achieve the aim of the article, the author used a analytical and descriptive method.(original abstract)
