One could call this paper an introduction into the study of euroscepticism in the European Parliament. The time frame for the research is defined by the operation of the 6th term Parliament, between July 2004 and June 2009. The author seeks to answer two basic questions: who were the eurosceptics of the 6th term and what were their characteristics in terms of political views. The author used the quantitative and qualitative analyses applied to selected voting in the 6th term of the EP. He also presented and discussed documents containing the agendas and political positions of the groups chosen in the study. The paper is based primarily on primary sources, thus raising its cognitive value, and refrains from offering an evaluative attitude towards the issues under study. (original abstract)
