Abstrakty

W artykule tym starałem się pokazać, że obecna faza rozwoju gospodarczego oferuje szansę odrodzenia się form oddolnego, wspólnotowego działania, które w erze przemysłowej uznawane były za mało efektywne, a tym samym "skazane na wymarcie". Wskazywałem argumenty, które wspierają twierdzenie, że rozwój sektora ekonomii solidarnej jest zjawiskiem pozytywnym - nie tylko równoważącym towarzyszącą rozwojowi gospodarczemu presję na zysk i sukces rynkowy, ale w istocie wspomagającym jego dynamikę i trwałość. The article contains the discussion about the apparent contradictions between economic and other dimensions of social life from the theoretical perspective of economic institutionalism. The author shows that the conflicts between the individual and the collective and between efficiency and social solidarity are better understood and hence better solved if we take into account different time perspective of social and economic actions. The article argues also that postindustrial economy enables the revival of community oriented economic actions which are both efficient and socially integrating. Thus, the obsolescence of certain forms of the community-based economic activities is rather apparent than true. The author claims that there is a role for public support for he socially oriented community based economy, especially in the sector of social services. Yet, any policy action should be preceded by a careful policy analysis both with regards to expected goals and chosen instruments. (original abstract)
