Abstrakty
W 2011 r. została założona sieć naukowo-badawcza w dziedzinie prawa pracy - Labour Law Research Network (LLRN), której celem jest awansowanie badań, rozpowszechnianie prac naukowych, zachęcanie naukowców z całego świata do prowadzenia otwartego dialogu oraz organizowanie cyklicznych konferencji, stanowiących forum wymiany myśli. Obecnie 39 ośrodków naukowych (centrów, instytutów, katedr w ramach uniwersytetów) prowadzących badania z zakresy prawa pracy jest członkami sieci naukowo-badawczej LLRN. Światowa konferencja inauguracyjna została zorganizowana w dniach 13-15 czerwca 2013 r. na Uniwersytecie Pompeu Fabra w Barcelonie. Wzięło w niej udział ponad 300 naukowców reprezentujących wszystkie kontynenty. (abstrakt oryginalny)
Labour Law Research Network Inaugural Conference (June 13-15, 2013, Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona) has been organised by Labour Law Research Network, which was set up in 2011 by research institutes/centers from all over the world dedicated to the study of labour law. Josep Maria Vilajosana (Dean of Law School, Pompeu Fabra University), Julia López (Pompeu Fabra University, greDTiSS-Consolidated Research Group in Labour and Social Security Law) and Guy Davidov (Hebrew University of Jerusalem, LLRN Steering Committee Chair) have given welcoming speeches. LLRN Awards for Distinguished Career Contributions to Labour Law have been presented for prof. Bob Hepple (University of Cambridge) and prof. Harry Arthurs (Osgoode Hall, York University, Canada). Representatives of different institutions - over 300 people from all continents - have gathered for three days in Barcelona to exchange ideas and discuss important issues of labour law. Much attention has been devoted to issues such as: austerity measures, current political and socio scenario and labour market reform in Spain. Moreover, the speakers have focused on the following items: transnational labour law, the future of the Wagner model of labour law in Canada and United States, gender in labour law, proportionality in labour law, goals and foundations of labour law, non-discrimination and equal treatment, definitions of the employee and the employer, welfare state, affirmative action/positive action in employment, labour representation models, the evolution of labour law in the Asia-Pacific Region, access to employment of people with disabilities, frontiers of workplace human rights, freedom of association and the right to strike, globalisation of labour and labour law, the decline of the standard contract of employment, dispute resolution, the right to work, implementation of works councils systems in Eastern Europe, new governance, labour law in times of crisis and global competition, collective bargaining and corporate governance, the European Convention on Human Rights, new technologies in labour law, worker`s dismissal and mobility.
