Abstrakty

Celem artykułu jest usystematyzowanie teoretycznego i empirycznego dorobku ekonomii w obszarze problematyki decyzji emerytalnych oraz ocena implikacji, jakie z tego dorobku wynikają dla polskiego systemu emerytalnego i jego reformowania. Główną przesłankę podjęcia tej tematyki w artykule stanowi pomijanie tej ważnej problematyki w debacie publicznej i akademickiej o polskim systemie emerytalnym lub pomniejszanie jej znaczenia. W artykule kolejno omówiono podstawy teoretyczne podejmowania decyzji emerytalnych i będące ich konsekwencją rodzaje tych decyzji, ich cechy oraz uwarunkowania. Następnie wskazano implikacje, jakie z dorobku teoretycznego i empirycznego nauk ekonomicznych w obszarze decyzji emerytalnych mogą wynikać dla polskiego systemu emerytalnego. Silny akcent położono na znaczenie omawianej problematyki zarówno dla oceny systemu emerytalnego, jak i planowania jego dalszych reform. (abstrakt oryginalny)

The aim of the article is to systematize the results of the theoretical and empirical research in economics in the field of pension decisions and to assess the implications of that research for the Polish pension system and its reforms. The main premise to take up this problem is the fact that this important issue is largely neglected or marginalized in the public and academic debate about the Polish pension system. The article presents the theoretical framework of pension decision-making and the kinds of decisions about pension, their characteristics and the underlying conditions. Then the author shows the implications of the theoretical and empirical research on pension economics for the Polish pension system. A strong accent is laid on the importance of the issues for the assessment of the pension system and for planning its further reforms. (original abstract)
