Abstrakty

Koncepcja "spaceless points (markets)" jest obowiązującym kanonem dla tradycyjnej teorii handlu zagranicznego. Klasyczne modele teorii kosztów komparatywnych i teorii obfitości czynników nie uwzględniają przestrzeni dzielącej partnerów handlowych. Geograficzne położenie i wielkość krajów uczestniczących w wymianie międzynarodowej są elementami z założenia pomijanymi w rozważaniach teorii handlu zagranicznego. W tym miejscu pominięta zostanie bezpośrednia krytyka upraszczających założeń tradycyjnej teorii handlu zagranicznego sprowadzających przestrzenne formy państw, regionów gospodarczych do postaci punktów i zaniedbanie odległości między nimi. Nie brak realności założeń, ale brak wiarygodności teorii zmusił do ograniczonej korekty w zakresie ujęcia problematyki przestrzennej. Kryzys zaufania do tradycyjnej teorii handlu zagranicznego zrewidował w pewnym stopniu stosunek- zagrożonej teorii do wymiaru przestrzennego międzynarodowego podziału pracy i wymiany międzynarodowej. Wprowadzenie kosztów transportu międzynarodowego, przy zachowaniu punktowej analizy systemów gospodarczych (państwa, regiony), powinno było wg zamysłu Samuelsona i Mundella. (fragment tekstu)

The concept of "spaceless points (markets)" is a standing canon for the traditional theory of foreign trade. The classical models of foreign trade, in the framework of the theory of comparative ¡costs and the theory of abundance of factors do not include the spacial element in the formation of international division of work and in the evaluation of the size and- structure of foreign-trade. The lack of empirical reliability in the traditional theory of foreign trade has forced limited corrections in the approach to spacial problems. The results of introducing the costs of transport into the analysis of the occurence of international division of 1abour and foreign trade are the following: -the comparative and absolute benefits of foreign trade are diminished because of the costs of international, transport, -the size of foreign trade becomes smaller along with the warsening of the relation of comparative costs, the costs of transport decide about the existence of the category of material assets, namely such that both exported and imported would bring relative and absolute disadvantages, -introduction of the transport sector into the H - o model as the third branch competing for the resources of production factors shows the interdependence between the production of transport services and the goods being the base of international exchange.
