Abstrakty

W tekście tym poddano analizie zagadnienie "rządzenia społeczeństwem". Na wstępie dokonano rewizji hobbsowskiego założycielskiego mitu państwa jako Lewiatana i jego statusu we współczesnym dyskursie nauk społecznych proklamującym koniec państwa narodowego oraz projektu społecznego, na którym się ono opiera. Następnie opisano genealogiczne obszary wyłaniania się reguł i mechanizmów rządzenia społeczeństwem oraz projekt społeczny, z którego się one wywodzą. Dokonano tego zarówno z wewnętrznej, krajowej perspektywy wyjaśniania zagadnienia rządności, jak i z punktu widzenia międzynarodowego systemu państw i ich lokalizacji w porządku globalnym. Oceny projektu rządzenia społeczeństwem i jego losów nie powinno się dokonywać poprzez odwołanie się do pojęć życia i śmierci Lewiatana jako państwa narodowego, ale przez pryzmat walki między dwoma potworami. Walkę tę mogą symbolizować, w pewnych okolicznościach, relacje pomiędzy państwem i społeczeństwem obywatelskim, społeczeństwem a gospodarką, tym, co krajowe, a tym, co międzynarodowe, między ziemią a morzem, zmianą a porządkiem, państwem narodowym a globalizacją.
