Abstrakty

Innowacja uznawana jest obecnie za rezultat interaktywnego procesu uczenia się angażującym wiele instytucji z wewnątrz i otoczenia przedsiębior-stwa1. Innowacje i proces ich dyfuzji traktowane są dzisiaj jako wynik kolektywnego i interaktywnego procesu sieciowego, w których kluczową rolę od-grywają personalne i instytucjonalne powiązania ewoluujące w czasie. Stają się one tym samym odpowiedzią na poziomie regionalnym na wyzwania tworzone przez nowe światowe trendy: globalizację i przyśpieszenie zmian technologicznych, tworząc szansę na rozwój gospodarczy słabo rozwiniętych regionów. Innovative mechanisms functioning in the territorial industrial systems and in their relations with the environment are significantly determined by the spatial proximity of companies from their competitors, suppliers and customers and the nature of the relationship maintained with them. The main objective of this paper is to assess the significance of geographical distance and the nature of the relationship kept in innovation networks on innovation activity of enterprises within the industrial system of West Pomeranian and, consequently, determine the boundary conditions for a model structure studied regional innovation networks.(original abstract)
