Powstające w wyniku fuzji i przejęć międzysektorowe konglomeraty finansowe, popularność aliansów finansowych czy też coraz silniejszy rozwój bancassurance to przyczyny konwergencji europejskiego sektora finansowego, gdzie coraz bardziej rozmywają się granice pomiędzy jego poszczególnymi częściami. Integracja bankowości, ubezpieczeń i rynku kapitałowego staje się dla podmiotów rynku finansowego jedną z bardziej efektywnych strategii rozwoju. (fragment tekstu)

Banking businesses in EC rely on the particular strategic plans taking the advantage of tactical and operational activities. However, there are many common, international factors that have an important impact on EC banks. That is why the strategies developed in European banks often have a lot in common - more to say, they constitute a kind of universal tendencies. In the area of upward strategies, the most popular are the customer oriented ones aimed both on the current and new customers. In the area of cost strategies, the focus is being set on the business processes strategies (permanent development, reorganizations, outsourcing) as well as employment reduction strategies.
