Kredyty preferencyjne to kredyty udzielane MŚP na korzystniejszych warunkach niż wynikałoby to z rachunku ekonomicznego. Oznacza to w praktyce refundację (umorzenie) części kredytu lub obniżenie wysokości oprocentowania. Przy kredytach preferencyjnych musi istnieć instytucja, która rekompensuje bankowi straty wynikające z istniejących przywilejów dla kredytobiorcy. Takimi instytucjami mogą być: - Skarb Państwa, jednostki samorządu terytorialnego, które wykorzystują środki z budżetu państwa (samorządu terytorialnego) i działają bezpośrednio lub za pośrednictwem agencji lub funduszu rządowego, ministerstwa itp., - międzynarodowe organizacje finansowe, - rządy, instytucje i przedsiębiorstwa rządowe innych krajów, - Unia Europejska i jej instytucje.(fragment tekstu)
The subject of the article are preferential loans directed to small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The article sets out the types of preferential loans offered to SMEs, the terms and conditions thereof and the extent of their use by small entities. The analysis showed that these loans are an investment. Preferences for these credits apply to reduce their operating costs by SMEs, so that they become more accessible to them. However the procedure for granting these loans is complicated, which limits their availability. In general, SMEs in little use of preferential loans.(original abstract)
