The geography of migratory flows into Poland during the transition period pertains to the structure of the global division of labour. It should be no wonder that, at the beginning of the economic transformation, highly skilled workers from the "West" and Asia, and only a small part of the flow from the "East", found employment on the primary labour market. The majority of the mobility from the East was mainly characterised by unskilled or skilled manual workers who found work (legal or illegal) on the secondary labour market. (fragment of text)
