Abstrakty

Omówiono wzajemne powiązania pomiędzy: własnością a efektywnością alokacyjną, własnością prywatną a efektywnością produkcyjną oraz własnością publiczną a efektywnością produkcyjną. Scharakteryzowano także proces prywatyzacji przedsiębiorstw państwowych w Polsce.

The theoretical case for public ownership has traditionally rested on considerations of allocative efficiency. In contrast, the case for private ownership rests on the incentives and constraints that the market provides to promote efficiency within the firm. On the basies of these considerations the autor concludes that "branch privatization" in Poland may promote economic efficiency in the privatization process of enterprises. (original abstract)
