Innovation Economy and Higher Education in Ukraine

Abstrakty

This paper is devoted to the study of problems of innovative development of the economy and higher education in Ukraine, the basic model of learning in higher education and the model of sustainable development. As the author has noted, today Ukraine is still dependent upon a resource-based economy, in spite of the shift away from raw resource dependency to that of a knowledge based economy leveraging technological innovation in most Western nations. The author postulates to what extent Ukraine can achieve such a similar shift given its current tertiary-level educational characteristics.(original abstract)
