(fragment tekstu)
This is an attempt to examine the relationship between the contents of production factors in industrial production for exports and their availability in the centrally planned and in the market economies. The principal propositions are as follows: firstly, the exports of centrally planned economies are excessively capital-intensive in relation to available capital resources. Secondly, the structure of those exports and its evolution in 1971-83 had been visibly different from that of the market economies at similar levels of economic development. Thirdly, there are grounds to believe that the Heckscher-Ohlin model did not prove valid in the case of centrally planned economies. Results of empirical investigations seem to confirm, to a large extent, the main propositions of the paper, but the problem needs a further, more intensive research. (original abstract)
