Odnosząc się do modelu nakładów i wyników produkcji Leontiefa autor przedstawia model oparty na współczynnikach nakładów jako propozycji podnoszącej dokładność analizy przepływów międzygałęziowych.
The necessary inputs of production factors are determined by input coefficients, i.e. the ratios of the necessary input flows to the output flows. An input coefficient is functionally determined by the technical coefficient of production, the wear and tear and the turnover cycles of the factor used as input, as well as the rate of growth of production. The parameters determining the input coefficients, i.e. technical coefficients of production and the cycles of wear and tear and of turnover, vary with the technical and organizational progress, whereas the rate of growth of production follows changes in the level of demand. The variability of parameters is responsible for the variability of input coefficients which may be used as theoretical instruments for forecasting the development of the national economy or changes in the general level of economic activity.
