Abstrakty
Artykuł przedstawia znaczenie wsparcia gwiazdy (ang. celebrity endorsement) uczestniczącej w przekazach reklamowych marek i produktów żywnościowych w percepcji polskich konsumentów. The article shows the importance of supporting the stars participating in the advertising messages of brands and products in the perception of Polish consumers. The author examines the impact of the celebrity, its nationality and image reception and perception supported by its brands and products. The article uses the results of surveys on the perception of celebrity endorsement, which showed that the nationality of the star, the type of celebrity support (expert, actor, sportsman) has a significant impact on the reception of the image of brands and products. In addition, record test results show that the effectiveness of the endorsement for food products is shaped by the belief consumers about the positive impact on Polish celebrity to Polish brand. We can say that there is a specific consumer ethnocentrism which, in relation to a celebrity endorsement is characterized by a preference for native celebrities, both athletes and actors who are perceived as more credible, more attractive and simply closer to customers.
