W artykule podjęto jedno z zagadnień zastosowania innowacji finansowych w działalności przedsiębiorstwa, a mianowicie problem oceny kosztów związanych z ich implementacją. Celem publikacji jest przedstawienie klasyfikacji rodzajowej oraz identyfikacja głównych grup kosztów związanych z wprowadzeniem innowacji finansowych do działalności przedsiębiorstwa. Zidentyfikowane grupy kosztów, obok potencjalnych korzyści, stanowią podstawę oceny efektywności wykorzystania innowacji finansowych. (fragment tekstu)

Financial innovations can be implemented in the corporate financial management in order to enhance its efficiency and increase its value. However, the decision to apply financial innovations should be preceded by the detailed analysis of the potential costs and benefits. The main aim of this paper is to identify the costs of financial innovations analyzed from the company's perspective (the end-user of financial innovation). This paper presents the result of the conceptual studies in a form of the costs analysis proposition, distinguishing two basic groups of financial innovations costs: actual (direct costs) and hypothetical (indirect and potential costs). These costs can be further grouped into internal and external ones. The proper identification of the financial innovations externalities (external costs) can be difficult but it is particularly important from the corporate social responsibility perspective.
