Abstrakty

Celem opracowania jest zaprezentowanie problematyki związanej z funkcjonowaniem państwowych funduszy majątkowych w kontekście zasad nadzoru korporacyjnego (właścicielskiego). W artykule przedstawiona została geneza powstania tych podmiotów, jak również stan obecny i perspektywy rozwoju tego typu inwestorów instytucjonalnych na rynkach międzynarodowych. Przeprowadzona w artykule analiza uregulowań corporate governance - występujących w literaturze pod nazwą Zasad z Santiago - dotyczących państwowych funduszy majątkowych prowadzi do wniosku, że zasady nadzoru korporacyjnego kładą wyjątkowy nacisk na zapewnienie respektowania praw interesariuszy, jawność i przejrzystość informacji na temat działalności funduszy oraz efektywny nadzór i sprawozdawczość finansową. The article discusses Sovereign Wealth Funds with reference do the process of corporate governance. In the first part the paper presents the rise, growth and current investment activity of those funds. In the second section the author consider reasons for implementation of corporate governance best practices. The last part of the paper compares Santiago Principles with OECD principles of corporate governance. (original abstract)
