Abstrakty
Poland hardly participates in the dynamically developing international higher education market. An offer has a chance of attracting foreign students' attention, if it conforms to their expectations and, at the same time, efficiently reaches even those students who live on the other side of the globe. Solid knowledge and understanding of their needs, motivation and behavior are the basis for preparing such an offer. The purpose of this paper is to present the theoretical and empirical achievements of research on the country-of-origin effect in the international services of higher education on the basis of the available literature. Furthermore, the paper suggests research issues, which could become a subject of further analysis in the context of promoting offers of Polish institutions which aspire to play a greater role in the international market.
