The system of theoretical ideas of Tadeusz Brzeski (1884-1958) ia an important component of the history of Polish economic thought in the interwar period. Continuing the Euclidean and Cartesian traditions and using the historic-psychological method Tadeusz Brzeski conceived economic theory as a system closely connected with both the natural environment and the culture. He developed his theoretical considerations within the limits of two areas: psychological theory of economy and of economic behaviour. The former contained the facts of social psychology: values (norms of behaviour), measures (rules of economic calculus) and economic forms. The latter comprised principles of economic behaviour, calculus of values, calculus of prices and original theses of the theory of economic government. Brzeski did not avoid to touch the problems of economic policy, but he concentrated on problems of methodology of economic science. (original abstract)
