Abstrakty
Celem głównym artykułu jest oszacowanie parametru beta oraz zbadanie jego stabilności w latach 2005-2012 dla największych spółek z warszawskiej Giełdy Papierów Wartościowych w podziale na okresy wzrostu (rynek byka) i spadku (rynek niedźwiedzia). Do weryfikacji postawionej hipotezy o stabilności parametru beta badanych spółek w okresie rynku byka i niedźwiedzia zostały wykorzystane miesięczne stopy zwrotu, jednoindeksowy model Sharpe'e oraz standardowe testy statystyczne. W pierwszej części artykułu został przedstawiony krótki przegląd literatury tematu i badań empirycznych oraz metodologia zrealizowanego badania, natomiast w drugiej części omówiono otrzymane wyniki i zaprezentowano wnioski. The main objective of this article is to estimate the beta parameter, and examine its stability for the largest companies in the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE) in the years 2005-2012, in the division into periods of growth (bull market) and decline (bear market).To verify the hypothesis of beta parameter stability examined companies during bull and bear markets we used monthly returns, Sharpe's single-index model and standard statistical tests. In the first part of the article we present a brief review of the literature and empirical research as well as methodology of the study, while in the second part the obtained results and conclusions are discussed.
