Celem opracowania jest próba oceny skuteczności polityki makroekonomicznej zastosowanej przez rząd Stanów Zjednoczonych Ameryki w walce z konsekwencjami kryzysu finansowego i towarzyszącej mu głębokiej recesji lat 2007-2009. Osiągnięciu tego celu posłuży krytyczny przegląd literatury przedmiotu, decyzji administracji rządowej oraz analiza podstawowych wskaźników ekonomicznych gospodarki amerykańskiej. (fragment tekstu)

The deep recession, which appeared in the U.S. economy in the years 2007-2009 seems to already be a history. In the third quarter of 2011, the U.S. real gross domestic product reached a value similar to that which occurred in this country just before the recession. But back to the starting point does not mean no problems for the economy - the costs of economic collapse are still very high. Research hypothesis is a sentence: despite the macroeconomic tools used in the U.S. economy, its condition still has not recovered to the pre-recession years 2007-2009. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the effectiveness of macroeconomic policy applied by the government of the United States of America in the fight against the consequences of the financial crisis and accompanying recession. To achieve this objective the author reviewed the literature and the decisions of government administration and analyzed basic economic indicators of the U.S. economy. The starting point to verify the research hypothesis was to show the condition of the U.S. economy just before the recession and during it. Next, attention was focused on the tools used by fiscal and monetary policies, and eventually underwent assessment of the current economic situation of the economy. (original abstract)
