Abstrakty
By using interchangeably the terms patient-client, we by default put a semantic equation mark between the two concepts leaving out etymological references and different semantic fields relevant to them. It becomes much more complicated if among both subjects designated in this way we also place a service user, thanks to whom we close the right interpretive context: for we're definitely entering a service domain. In the following text I intend to deal with merely one issue, defined as a result of seeking the answer to the questions: What cognitive and managerial consequences does treating a patient as a client have? Or, expressing this goal in other words, I would like to point to those new [one is tempted to say newest] client's traits which - almost like attributes - they bring in with themselves when becoming a patient.
