Abstrakty
Władze Chin modernizując gospodarkę po 1978 r. przekształcały także sektor bankowy. W ramach przemian postanowiono skorzystać z doświadczeń krajów rozwiniętych. Ważnym krokiem w strategii modernizacji sektora bankowego, poza nawiązaniem współpracy z organizacjami międzynarodowymi, było stopniowe zezwalanie na dokonywanie w nim inwestycji zagranicznych. W opracowaniu podjęto także próbę identyfikacji zasadniczych różnic między bankami krajowymi i zagranicznymi na podstawie wybranych wskaźników finansowych oraz wskazano na najważniejsze czynniki będące barierami dla banków zagranicznych w procesie zdobywania rynku chińskiego. Modernizing economy after 1978, Chinese authorities have introduced also reforms in the banking industry. They decided to base on the developed countries' experience during modernization process. The most important step in Chinese banking system development, except the cooperation with international organizations, was the entry of foreign banks into financial sector. This article attempts to indentify the main differentials between Chinese bank and foreign banks concerning selected financial ratios. The paper also presents the market barriers for development of foreign banks. (original abstract)
