Abstrakty

Najsłabiej rozwinięte kraje w gospodarce światowej (LDC) w latach 1980-tych rozpoczęły pod naciskiem międzynarodowych instytucji finansowych liberalizację swoich gospodarek i handlu zagranicznego. W artykule przedstawiona jest ogólna charakterystyka dynamiki wzrostu gospodarczego krajów LDC w latach 2002-2006 i zmiany w poziomie ich luki dochodu w stosunku do innych krajów. Omówione jest tempo potencjalnego wzrostu PKB w wybranych krajach LDC. (fragment tekstu)

The least developed countries still cannot achieve the rate of growth of Gross Domestic Product enabling them to diminish the income gap between them and other countries. To realize this, the rate of growth must be faster. There exists the potential in this respect. To accomplish this the productive capacities in LDC must be enlarged through the investment process. The rate of gross investment must increase substantially. This means that the resource gap appears, that is necessary to finance the investment. This resource gap must be closed it the whole growth acceleration process in the LDC is to be realized. The external resources must play the main role in closing the gap, especially Official Development Assistance and Direct Foreign Investments. But to make the eventual inflow of these external resources effective many of their present faults must be removed.(original abstract)
