During the past few years, Poland has become an attractive location for investments in real estates. Foreign and domestic companies, as well as natural persons invest in properties as they want to obtain profits from the quickly developing market. Economic efficiency analyses in the real estate market should take into consideration profits and risks connected with an inclusion of any property in our investment portfolio; remembering about additional advantages of the fact of possessing a real estate. The real estate market facilitates the realization of long-term deposits of an investment character. So let us look into it as into another alternative form of investing financial means. This document attempts at presenting the specific character of the real estate market as an area of investment activities connected with the widely understood financial market. A property possessing special features deciding about its specific character and distinguishing it from among other economic goods is discussed herein in short. Key aspects covered by the work include: the real estate as an investment subject, real estates as assets of a utility and location character, as well as individual and institutional investors in the real estate market.
