Abstrakty

Nauczanie, w którym komputer wspomaga proces dydaktyczny matematyki i/lub statystyki jest już od dość dawna znaną i stosowaną formą kształcenia. Jest to zresztą tylko pierwszy etap, najprostsze z powiązań, jakie mieć może komputer z nauczanymi treściami i formami przekazu. W Polsce znajduje ono zastosowanie (o dziwo!) przede wszystkim w szkołach średnich. W tym środowisku znajduje się najwięcej zwolenników (albo potrafią się oni lepiej zorganizować) innych metod kształcenia, niż tylko za pomocą kredy i tablicy. W środowisku metodyków nauczania trwa naukowa (i nie tylko) polemika co do skuteczności stosowania nauczania zintegrowanego czy interdyscyplinarnego, jednak grono dydaktyków aprobujących te metody stale się powiększa. Ja również należę do osób opowiadających się za wprowadzaniem zmian w sposobach nauczania, by dostosować je do zmieniających się warunków. The area of education does not, and cannot, pretend to not be part of the informatized world of today characterized by the increasingly wide use of computers and the rich variety of software available (at work as well as at home). The paper attempts to address the question of to what extent the informatization trend can be observed, and of what forms it takes, at the Chorzow Division of the Banking School of Poznan. The paper discusses the findings of a (questionnaire) survey run among the 2nd and 3rd year students of the Faculty aiming to research the question of how and to what extent computers are utilized in the teaching and learning of mathematics and statistics. Alongside the discussion of these findings, the author proposes ways in which the current approach to leaming and teaching can be modified. The primary thesis embedded in the paper is as follows: "Teaching and learning methodology (as far as the application of information technologies is concemed) currently in use at the Chorzow Division of the Banking School of Poznan does not keep pace with the world around, therefore changes are necessary and an initiative to institute such changes is required." The paper calls for the attention of students as much as of the lecturers and the research staff and, last but not Icast, of the management of the Division. Each of these groups has work to do (in the author's opinion) to improve the quality and efficiency of teaching. (original abstract)
