Financial performance as basic measure of company activity valuation with competition determines a economic subject in market economy environment. There are several approaches to financial performance valuation which reflect the knowledge level of economic system and information possibilities. Nowadays, the measures are based on value-based management theory, company value criteria. The paper is focused on description of selected performance measures. Especially, methodology and calculation of EVA indice including development analysis in Czech economy is presented.
