Abstrakty
Glebę można określić jako żywy organizm o niezwykłej złożoności. Ciekawie mówi o tym, czym jest gleba, David R. Montgomery, geolog z University of Washington: "Cienka warstwa minerałów, żywych mikroorganizmów, martwych roślin i zwierząt okrywających planetę, jest matką wszelkiego ziemskiego życia i stanowi dla każdego narodu najbardziej strategiczny zasób" [1]. Systemy glebowe zawierają jedne z najbogatszych w gatunki zgrupowania. Różnorodność biologiczna w glebie jest imponująca. Jedna czwarta gatunków na Ziemi żyje w glebie. (fragment tekstu)
