Abstrakty

Celem artykułu jest odpowiedź na pytanie, czy istnieje ujemna i istotna zależność pomiędzy przeciętnym poziomem płac a sytuacją na regionalnych rynkach pracy w Polsce mierzoną stopą bezrobocia. Analizy prowadzone są na rocznych danych w przekroju województw. Badany okres to lata 2002-2012. Przeprowadzone analizy wskazują, że ze względu na niestacjonarność zmiennej dotyczącej wynagrodzeń nie można oszacować parametrów typowej krzywej płac. Zależność pomiędzy płacami a bezrobociem ma raczej charakter regionalnych krzywych Philipsa. Wyniki analiz wskazują na to, że parametr przy stopie bezrobocia jest ujemny, ale dość niski (-0,005) i istotny statystycznie na 10-procentowym poziomie istotności. Sytuacja na wojewódzkich rynkach pracy jest czynnikiem, który ma wpływ na kształtowanie się płac realnych, ale zależność ta jest dość słaba. Kluczowym czynnikiem determinującym tempo wzrostu płac na regionalnych rynkach pracy jest tempo wzrostu wydajności pracy. Istotne znaczenie ma również struktura bezrobocia, struktura pracujących oraz stopień konkurencji.(abstrakt oryginalny)

The aim of the paper is to answer the question of whether there is a negative and significant relation between level of wages and regional labour market situation in Poland. We used regional (NUTS2) data, the analysed period is 2002-2012. The analyses conducted in the paper show that due to non stationary character of regional real wages we can not estimate the parameters of typical wage curve. The relation between wages and unemployment rates on regional labour markets is rather a Phillips-type one. The results of the analysis indicate that the parameter by unemployment rate is negative but rather low (-0.005) and significant at the 10% significance level. The situation on the regional labour markets has an impact on real wages growth rate but this relation is quite weak. A key factor in determining the rate of growth of wages on regional labour markets is the growth rate of labour productivity. Other important factors are the structure of unemployment and employment and the degree of competition.(original abstract)
