Abstrakty

Przyczyny wzrostu zainteresowania ekonomią instytucjonalną są natury praktycznej (np. transformacja ustrojowa), ale wynikają też ze stanu ekonomii jako nauki, a zwłaszcza z narastającej dyskusji o niedostatkach tzw. ekonomii głównego nurtu. W opracowaniu zaprezentowano historyczne korzenie ekonomii instytucjonalnej i jej dwa główne współczesne ogniwa, czyli tradycyjną oraz nową ekonomię instytucjonalną. Starano się przy tym odpowiedzieć na pytanie, czy instytucjonalizm może rzeczywiście aspirować do roli nowego centrum ekonomii oraz czy w związku z jego rosnąca popularnością zasadne jest postrzeganie wszystkich ekonomistów jako obecnych lub przyszłych zwolenników tego kierunku. The last decades of the 20th century and the first years of the 21st century are marked by a significant increase in attention paid by economists to the idea of institution. It concerns both microeconomic and macroeconomic level, where the latter is of the particular interest of the author of this study. The causes of the increased attention paid to institutions are grounded in economic practice (e.g. transition to a market economy). They are also grounded in the current state of economic discussion, especially in the flourishing controversy on the mainstream economics. In this study both historical background and contemporary versions of institutional economics are presented. The main objective of this study is twofold. Firstly, the author tries to decide whether institutional economics may really aspire to become the new centre in economic theory. Secondly, the author attempts to decide whether all economists already do, or are going to, follow institutional economics. (original abstract)
