Abstrakty

Celem badania jest określenie wpływu szkoleń dla bezrobotnych na indywidualną długość czasu trwania w bezrobociu. Aby rozwiązać problem niewłaściwego doboru próby, wykorzystano dwie metody. W pierwszej stosuje się dobieranie, by znaleźć odpowiednią grupę kontrolną dla grupy szkolonych, w drugiej zaś udział w szkoleniu jest instrumentalizowany za pomocą modelu probitowego. W dalszej kolejności są szacowane semiparametryczne modele hazardu. Badanie oparto na danych z Powiatowego Urzędu Pracy w Słupsku.(abstrakt oryginalny)

The goal of the study is to assess the impact of vocational training on the unemployment duration of an individual. To take into account the sample selection problem we use two methods. In the first one, we employ matching to find an adequate control group for the group of trainees. In the second one, the participation in a training programme is instrumented using a probit model. Then, we estimate a semiparametric hazard models. Our research work is based on the data obtained from the District Labour Office in Słupsk in Poland.(original abstract)
