Abstrakty
Cel - Identyfikacja predykatorów skłonności do inwestowania w spółki giełdowe w odniesieniu do państwowych funduszy majątkowych. Metodologia badania - W artykule wykorzystano model regresji logitowej, który w oparciu o dane finansowe spółek giełdowych notowanych na giełdzie w Sao Paulo, posłużył do oceny preferencji inwestycyjnych norweskiego funduszu majątkowego. Wynik - Wyniki empiryczne wskazują, że zarówno przychody operacyjne, jak i marża zysku brutto są czynnikami determinującymi skład giełdowego portfela inwestycyjnego funduszu. Ponadto z uwagi na zdolność predykcyjną modelu przeprowadzone analizy stanowią wskazówkę do poszukiwania pozafinansowych motywów inwestowania. Oryginalność/wartość - W warstwie poznawczej wartością dodaną, jaką wnosi niniejszy artykuł, jest wskazanie nowych, jak dotąd nie wymienianych w literaturze, mierników finansowych, które w świetle przeprowadzonych badań wywierają wpływ na kształt portfela inwestycyjnego funduszu. Ponadto, wedle dostępnej autorowi wiedzy, niniejszy artykuł jest pierwszą na gruncie polskim próbą wykorzystania modelu regresji logitowej do oceny skłonności do inwestowania państwowych funduszy majątkowych. W warstwie aplikacyjnej wyniki przeprowadzonych analiz dostarczają informacji dla kierownictwa spółek giełdowych, którzy zainteresowani mogą być pozyskaniem długookresowego inwestora strategicznego, jakim są państwowe fundusze majątkowe. Purpose - The purpose of this article is to identify financial factors of targeted firms, determining investment decision of sovereign wealth funds. Design/methodology/approach - Using the financial data from companies listed on the Bovespa, logistic regression is apply to analyze the investment preferences of Government Pension Fund Global. Findings - The empirical findings of this research suggest that the growth of gross profit margin and the growth of total operating revenue of company increases the probability of being targeted for investment. Originality/value - To the best of our knowledge this is the first attempt to use logistic regression to analyze the investment attractiveness of companies to Sovereign Wealth Fund, in Polish literature.
