Domestic and international trend research results prove that the role of health will become more and more important. Although health cannot be interpreted as an abstract value any more. It appears in several forms in our life, and has a considerable effect on our consumer behavior, on the structure of our preferences (Töröcsik 2003). The World Health Organization (WHO) defines health as the physical, mental and social well-being of the humans and not only the lack of illnesses or disabilities. Health is not a mere aim, but a daily used resource. (...) The main aim of our survey was to analyze how consumers consider health preservation and wellness. A standardized, pre-tested questionnaire was used in the quantitative survey with the following topics: consumers' opinion on the possibilities of health conversation and on healthy eating, how consumers consider wellness as a philosophy and its role in health conservation, the preferred communication channels of the consumers when gaining information on health related topics.
