The main goal of this paper is to present the selected results of research on the life quality of the emerging upper class in Poland, conducted between 2011/2012. The formation of the upper class in Poland is not only the subject of sociological research. After the transformation of the system one can more and more observe in Poland a large group of this class' representatives with a differentiated genealogy. This research was the first empirical recognition of the consumption structure and economic behaviour of this social group's representatives, with special attention being paid to the diagnosis of their quality of life.
