Celem artykułu jest zarysowanie zagrożeń, jakie niesie ze sobą pandemia chorób chronicznych, oraz ich wpływu na system organizowania i finansowania opieki zdrowotnej. Wywód oparto na międzynarodowych danych statystycznych. Autorka proponuje model docelowy, którym powinna być zintegrowana opieka zdrowotna, uwypuklająca holistyczne podejście do pacjenta. Praca ma charakter przeglądowy(abstrakt oryginalny)

This article aims to outline the risks posed by the pandemic of chronic diseases and their impact on the system for organizing and financing of health care. Discussions are based on the international statistical data. As a result, the author proposes a target model that should be an integrated health care model, in which the emphasis is on a holistic approach to the patient. The work is a review(original abstract)
