Abstrakty

Despite many years of research on the issues affecting growth of SMEs, to date, no obtained clear answer why some firms grow and others do not. For this lack of response is to blame first and foremost overcapacity in the selection of research methodology. This to various test results, by different researchers. This applies both to define and to measure growth, as well as used in researches tools and techniques. The most complete method seems to be a panel studies. Such research is the basis to verify hypotheses about the relationship between entrepreneurial motivations and objectives of the business and changes in employment in the companies. Both hypotheses were confirmed, albeit with some reservations. (original abstract)
