Handlowcy działający w Unii Europejskiej muszą składać zgłoszenia do objęcia towarów daną procedurą celną i wysyłać elektroniczne dokumenty do administracji państwa, w którym towary są lub będą przedstawione. Nie istnieje żaden pojedynczy, europejski interfejs dla przedsiębiorstw operujących w kilku krajach członkowskich. Planowany europejski Pojedynczy Elektroniczny Punkt Dostępu prawdopodobnie nie będzie dostępny w ciągu najbliższych 10 lat. Artykuł opisuje zagadnienie braku harmonizacji procedur elektronicznego cła i pokazuje jedno z rozwiązań, które redukuje ten problem. (abstrakt oryginalny)

The traders operating in the European Union have to lodge customs declarations to place goods under a given customs procedure and to send electronic documents to an administration in a country where the goods are or will be presented. There is no single European interface for economic operators operating in more than one member states. A planned European Single Electronic Access Point is unlikely to be ready in the next 10 years. The article explains the problem of the lack of harmonization of electronic customs procedures and shows one of the possibilities, how the trader can reduce this complication. (original abstract)
