Na wstępie wypada wyjaśnić, że określeniem: myśl organizacyjna można objąć wszelkie idee dotyczące całokształtu zorganizowanego działania ludzkiego przez co należy rozumieć wiedzę o przyczynach i skutkach sprawności i niesprawności działania organizacji społecznej. Tematem niniejszego artykułu będzie przede wszystkim myśl organizacyjna związana z jedną z licznych form organizacji społecznej, mianowicie z organizacją o celach gospodarczych osiąganych środkami formalnymi w postaci środków zarządzania ekonomicznego. W ocenie dorobku piśmiennictwa naukowego na temat zarządzanej organizacji gospodarczej preferować będę polską myśl organizacyjną. (fragment tekstu)

The phrase organizational thought includes all the ideas concerning the garnet of organized human activity by which one should understand the knowledge of the causes effects of efficiency and inefficiency in the activities os social organization. The product of organizational thought is a body of information, knowledge of the principles of efficient achievement of objectives. They consist of both general principles which assist the achivement of any objectives in all social organizations, and also specific principles which facilitate the achievement of concreate objectives which are peculiar to a given form of social organization. The subject matter of organizational thought in relation to economic organization are the principles of achieving efficiency in both group and individual working under joint management by means of management procedures in the ceaseless endeavour of economic subject to achieve increased productivity. In the XXth century organizational thought achieved the highest level and the highest form of dissemination in the form of an abundant and diverse literature. During this period one can clearly discern a certain progressive trend. It manifests itself gradually in the continuous assessment of the specific organizational variables and their role in various structures. In the Polish literature of organization we note a number of initiatives aimed at changing the relationship between the practical and theoretical approaches in order to strenthen the latter through the creation of at least three significant values for further progress in science of organization: formulation of the subject matter and methods of the science of organization and management; systematics of organizational phenomena and questions; systematics if the output of organizational thought principally in the XXth century.
